Art FUNdamentals at Mill Studio Arts is a foundational program that integrates art history, human development, and world cultures to inspire children to discover, create, and explore personal meaning through art. Formerly known as Art 4 Everyone, this program emphasizes a comprehensive approach to art education, grounded in fine art and cultural connections. Led by experienced professionals, students delve into the impact of art on human development, from ancient cave paintings to contemporary art forms. They engage in hands-on exploration of sculpture, drawing, painting, and printmaking through rotating eight-week units. This structure allows them to develop strong art-making skills and discover their artistic strengths and interests through self-expression. Finished works of art are showcased in an end-of-quarter art show, providing students with opportunities to exhibit their creativity and growth. Art FUNdamentals nurtures young artists, fostering a lifelong appreciation for art and creativity.
