Q-4 Clay for Teens
Wednesdays 5:00-6:30
Service Description
Led by ceramics artist Tara St. Pierre, this program leads students through various techniques including clay sculpting, hand-building, slab rolling, and relief work. Projects are designed to accommodate different skill levels, allowing beginners to learn fundamental skills while more experienced artists advance through refined lessons. Students' work is fired and made food-safe for functional use, providing children with an immersive experience in learning the entire ceramics process. Throughout the program, students will experiment with multiple glazing techniques to add color, design, and mark-making to their ceramic pieces. This hands-on experience not only enhances artistic skills but also fosters creativity and self-expression through clay.
