Service Description

Drawing Skills and Techniques at Mill Studio Arts is a focused program designed to strengthen drawing abilities across various media. Taught in a classical approach to art education, students learn to draw from life, emphasizing observation and enhancing mechanical drawing skills. In this program, students practice techniques in both representational and abstract drawing. Technical guidance is provided to help each student advance in their preferred direction and style of drawing. Throughout each quarter, students create finished works using pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, marker, and pastel. These artworks are showcased in our end-of-quarter art shows, allowing students to exhibit their progress and creativity. Drawing Skills and Techniques aims to nurture artistic development, blending traditional methods with opportunities for personal expression and exploration.
